A BRAND NEW DAY
With a tremendous amount of wags and wiggles we are proud to announce that Australian Shepherd Rescue Midwest (ASRM) has successfully partnered with the Humane Society of Missouri (HSMO) located in St. Louis, Missouri.
Since March 23, 2014 ASRM has been working closely with HSMO to place 23 of the 41 Australian Shepherds seized on March 20th, 2014 from a breeder in Taney County, Missouri.
HSMO adopted the puppies in house which gave ASRM 23 beautiful Aussies to place. We were so excited at this opportunity that the world paused for a moment and we broke out in song with the Pointer Sisters! Yes, we were that excited!
All of us at ASRM are thrilled to announce as of April 12, 2014 we have all 23
Aussies placed in ASRM Foster homes!!!
The only life these beautiful Aussies have ever experienced was living in the confinement
of a kennel. With this confinement there was very little human contact, no socialization, no
comfort from a human, no positive words or love, no grass under their paws and never knowing the joy of being part of family. Knowing these challenges our wonderful foster homes and volunteers stepped up with deep dedication, compassion and perseverance to help rehabilitate these Aussies.
We are seeing some progress already but the work will be a long journey to help these beautiful babies become the Aussies they deserve to be. This will involve a lot of time, patience, love, training, vet care, dental care, special diets and medications.
.ASRM is truly thankful for any donations you can offer these deserving Aussies. Without all of you we could not give them the care they so desperately need.
All of us at ASRM look forward to what each new day brings for these special Aussies!
ASRM would like to extend an enormous THANK YOU to the Humane Society of Missouri in St. Louis, Missouri. They have been nothing short of fabulous! Thank you Debbie Hill, Holly Witzel and all the staff in adoption and receiving.
ASRM would also like to thank Shaker’s Dog Wash in Rock Hill, Missouri and Bi-State Pet Food Pantry in St. Louis, Missouri.

Volunteer For Aussies
In order to save more aussies, ASRM needs volunteers in MO, IL, KY, MN, and WI. You can even do volunteer work when it is convenient from your own home! Right now we especially need additional volunteers that are willing to help make reference calls so these dogs can find the right home. But there are many other ways to help too!
